  • What is in the background? How many people are there?

Interpretation: What is the picture about?

    1. Who is the man standing in the picture? What is his expression?
    2. What is he doing and why?
    3. Where was this picture taken? What details let you know this?
    4. Who are the children in the photo? What are they doing?
    5. Is anyone in the picture talking? What are they saying?
    6. Who are they?
    7. Where is the photographer standing?
    8. What happened right before and after this picture was taken?
    9. What is happening outside the frame of the picture?
    10. What is happening in this picture? Take the perspective of one person in the picture and tell a story.
